Health Guarantee

All puppies come with our standard health guarantee

1. The seller guarantees that the puppy to be in good health at the time of sale.
2. The puppy will be up to date on shots and de-worming at the time of exchange. It is very important that you continue the
vaccinations and de-worming. Please do not expose your puppy to dogs that are not vaccinated until your puppy has
completed the entire vaccination schedule, typically at 16 weeks.
3. The buyer, at their own expense, should have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of
sale/exchange in order for this contract to remain valid. Failure to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within
72 hours of the exchange will result in this contract being null and void.
4. Documentation must be sent to the seller within 72 hours in order for the health guarantee to be honored.
5. If within 72 hours, a licensed veterinarian finds the puppy to be unhealthy or unfit for sale, the puppy may be returned for a
full refund, provided the puppy has not been injured or neglected. This includes death or illness from a health condition that
is deemed to be present prior to leaving the seller’s premises. The veterinarian must provide a written statement deeming the
puppy “unhealthy for purchase.” The seller retains the right to have his/her veterinarian review the documentation for a
second opinion prior to issuing any refund or replacement puppy.
6. This guarantee does not cover any health issues caused by neglect or injury from the buyer.
7. Puppies have immature immune systems and as such, this guarantee does not include minor illnesses and health issues such
as colds, allergies, and internal or external parasites. All of our puppies are treated appropriately for internal parasites (ex:
worms), but the buyer should understand that these almost always reappear in young puppies based on the environment and
other factors, and that is why it is important to continue a de-worming routine as advised by your vet. Additionally, this
guarantee does not cover other minor and/or treatable and/or common disorders such as umbilical hernia, open fontanel,
luxating patella, etc. However, the seller will disclose any known illnesses or health issues prior to sale.
8. It is extremely important that the buyer is feeding the puppy frequently and properly to prevent blood sugar issues that may
lead to hypoglycemia. This is mostly with concern to tiny and teacup-size puppies. Illness or death occurring from
hypoglycemia are not covered by this health guarantee.
9. The seller cannot assume responsibility for this puppy once ownership is transferred. It is the immediate responsibility of the
buyer to care for the puppy properly and keep it free from harm.
10. The seller assumes no responsibility for any medical expenses incurred after the sale.
11. The seller assumes no responsibility for training difficulties or behavior problems.
12. The seller does not guarantee size. We will provide the weight of the puppy’s parents and the weight of other puppies out of
that mating as requested. We can give our best educated guess as to full grown weight, but there are too many variables at
play besides genetics.
13. The seller does not guarantee fertility.
